Seven Safety Tips For Selling Your Jacksonville Home

Whether you live in Nocatee or the Beaches, Southside or St Johns, safety concerns when selling your home should be a consideration.  As a Realtor, I’ve gone to many safety classes provided by the Northeast Florida Association of Realtors.  Here are some tips I’d like to share with you.

  1. Always have someone in the house with you when showing your home to a stranger.

  2. Ask to see identification prior to letting someone in your home. Write down there name and contact info on a sign in sheet.

  3. Even with someone else in the home, let the prospective buyer walk ahead of you. Never turn your back on them or go into a room first.

  4. Have an easy exit. Make sure you have more than one way out in the event of an attack.

  5. Remove all valuables. Many times people posing as prospective buyers will come back at a later time after scanning your home.

  6. DO NOT answer the door if someone is stopping by because of your sign or advertisement. ALWAYS make an appointment.

  7. Let neighbors know when someone is coming by so they can keep an eye out.

PLEASE FEEL FREE TO SHARE THESE TIPS OR IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO KNOW MORE ABOUT HOW YOU CAN SELL YOUR HOME THE SAFEST WAY POSSIBLE, CALL, TXT OR EMAIL ME.
